Taryne Mowatt Softball Player

Taryne Mowatt is a former All-American pitcher for the University of Arizona softball team, who was drafted by the National Pro Fastpitch team Washington Glory. In the 2007 Women's College World Series, she led the Arizona Wildcats to their second consecutive and eighth overall national softball title. Mowatt was born on September 12, 1986 to Larry and Suzie Mowatt in Corona, California.
Mowatt made her professional debut with the Glory on June 11 against the Akron Racers. She pitched 2 innings in relief in a 7-2 win by the Glory. She recorded her 1st career win on July 27 against the Philadelphia Force at the Westfield Softball Complex by pitching a complete game and allowing 3 hits, 1 run, 3 walks, and striking out 7 batters.
